Hi, I’m Fran Greenberg.
Before you begin, I wanted to share with you the origin story of this interactive self-guided workshop. Conscious Mind Breakthrough began writing itself decades ago, during my first year in college, although I didn’t know it at the time.
I had a remarkable American history teacher. Professor McKeith didn’t just teach us the facts. He taught us to look beneath them.
He would ask what led to an event in history, then follow with, “What were the underlying causes?" And with that, our journey had begun, sometimes taking us back a hundred years or more.
Somewhere along the way, I began applying the professor’s bedrock method to the “historical events” that make up our own lives.
As I built the workshop, the relationship between our two minds came into even sharper focus, revealing patterns I hadn’t recognized before. There was one in particular that surprised me.
I was my parents’ oldest child, and my dad had a hard time letting go, sometimes leaving me without the opportunity to discover what I could do on my own.
The loss of independence I felt at those moments left my subconscious with a hidden message: Without my father’s help and support, I would fail.
Once I recognized that message, I began to see the instances where it had surfaced.
For example, years ago, I added carpeting to the unfinished interior of my SUV. I did the work at my parents’ house since my apartment didn’t have a garage. That put me back where the old subconscious pattern had its start.
The SUV’s transformation was nearly complete, except for one piece over my left shoulder. I can still see the space where it should have been.
Only while building this workshop did I recognize the long-ago subconscious pattern behind my actions: without my father’s help, finishing meant risking failure.
If I didn’t finish, I couldn’t fail.
Fortunately, the pattern hadn’t surfaced often. But when it did, it could influence a choice without my knowing it was there, and shape the result that followed. That is, until I saw it.
And once I saw it, I had something I hadn’t had before: a choice.
Professor McKeith taught a college freshman to look beneath the events that made history. I learned to look beneath the events that make up our lives.
And that discovery opened a door I hadn't known was there.
This workshop is my opportunity to pay it forward to you.
Different choices. Different results. Let's begin.
